DAY 14 - FIELD STUDY 1

Test Questionnaires Checking

I spent today’s observation with Teacher Rosalie, and it turned out to be a good reminder of how routine helps young learners feel settled and ready to work. She began the class with a prayer, followed by the national anthem and the school hymn. The students knew the flow so well that everything moved calmly and in order.

For the motivation, she used familiar songs that the children enjoyed. They sang the twelve months of the year, the seven days of the week, the circle song, and a few number songs. These warm-ups brought the class together and helped them shift into learning mode. The children were lively but still focused, which showed how much these songs support their readiness.

After the songs, she asked them to sing the alphabet along with sign language. It was nice to see how many students could follow the signs while singing. Since the lesson for the day was a repetition of their previous topic, Teacher Rosalie handed out worksheets right after. My task was to help check their answers as they finished. It was a simple job, but it gave me a chance to see how differently each child works through the same task. Some finished quickly and confidently, while others needed more time and guidance.

Overall, the session felt steady and productive. Even on days focused on review, the class atmosphere stayed warm and organized, and it was clear that the routines played a big part in keeping everyone on track.
