DAY 7- FIELD STUDY

Today’s field study at Lahug Elementary School was both fun and meaningful. The lesson for the day centered on the letter N, and the students showed excitement as they learned something new.

Teacher Rosalie started the session by introducing the sound of the letter N. She patiently guided the learners in pronouncing the letter correctly, making sure everyone could follow along. Her teaching style was engaging, and she captured the children’s attention by using clear examples and lively interaction.

For the activity, the students were asked to cut out a letter N and transform it into a little cartoon character. With an eye added to their cut-outs, the letter N became the body of a fun and creative figure. The learners enjoyed this hands-on activity, which not only reinforced their recognition of the letter but also sparked their imagination.

The classroom was filled with excitement and creativity as the children proudly showcased their work. It was inspiring to see how a simple lesson could be turned into an enjoyable and memorable experience for young learners.

Overall, the day was productive and highlighted the importance of combining creativity with basic literacy instruction. It was a valuable field study experience that showed how effective teaching strategies can make learning both fun and meaningful.

DAY 4- FIELD STUDY

SEPTEMBER 4, 2025  Today’s field study at Lahug Elementary School was a little different because only 12 students were present in the morning class, which ran from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM . Even with a smaller class size, the students showed eagerness to participate and learn. We started the day with another practice for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts . The children were lively and cooperative, showing that they truly enjoy the scouting activities. It was a good way to channel their energy before settling into the classroom lesson. For the academic part of the day, the teacher began with a recall of the previous lesson . Since some students couldn’t remember what was discussed about the letter T and the different modes of transportation , this review helped refresh their memory. Day 17- FIELD STUDY 1

  Lahug Elementary School | November 28, 2025 Today was different from our usual classroom work because there were no regular classes. Instead, we were asked to report to Lahug Elementary School to attend a seminar organized for the teachers. Even though it was meant for them, we were given the chance to sit in and observe, which felt like a valuable opportunity. The seminar gave me a better idea of what teachers deal with beyond classroom routines. I watched how they exchanged ideas, shared challenges, and discussed new approaches to improve their teaching. It was interesting to see them in a professional learning setting rather than in front of their students. It reminded me that teaching involves constant growth and collaboration, not just delivering lessons.
