DAY 2- FIELD STUDY
AUGUST 28, 2025
Today was another memorable day of my field study at Lahug Elementary School. In the morning, I was given the opportunity to facilitate the class, and it was such a rewarding experience. We started the day with a prayer, followed by the singing of the Lahug Hymn, which set a respectful and uplifting tone for the class. Afterward, I led an energizer activity, and the children happily danced to the Chicken Dance and the Gummy Bears Dance. Their laughter and energy filled the classroom, and I could feel how much they enjoyed these simple but fun activities.
By around 8 a.m., the students from the morning class were called to the gymnasium to take part in the opening of their intramurals. The atmosphere was festive and exciting as the children gathered, played, and cheered together. It was wonderful to see them engaged not only in academics but also in physical activities that build camaraderie and school spirit.
In the afternoon, the same program was held for the other batch of students. Just like in the morning, they were full of enthusiasm and joy as they joined the activities at the gym. It was inspiring to witness how events like the intramurals bring the whole school community together and allow students to shine in different aspects beyond academics.
Today’s experience taught me how important it is to create balance in school life—combining discipline, fun, learning, and play. I felt truly grateful to be part of this day at Lahug Elementary School, and it made me even more excited for the journey ahead in my field study.
